About the author
Logan Walter
I write because I love the feeling of reading a book and realizing I have come away with more than when I started reading. I’m drawn to grounded, emotionally honest stories—especially love stories that mean something beyond the romance and explore not only what people feel, but what those feelings lead them to believe and do. With every story I tell, I hope to offer readers something true, meaningful, and worth carrying with them.
I’ve been writing since I was a child, but it was my writing partner, editor, and childhood best friend, Matthew Vollrath, who helped me believe in myself enough to return to it as an adult. Matthew is a screenwriter who teaches writing at the college level, and we collaborate closely on all of my projects and many of his. His influence has shaped my approach, and some readers have described my work as cinematic because of it. I would not be the writer I am today without him—if I ever would have started writing again without him.
I live in Oregon and have spent my entire adult life in the Pacific Northwest. Outside of writing, I lift lots of weights, train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai, cook, and go shooting. I’m also an animal lover and proud fur father to three: a very large senior Kangal/Anatolian Shepherd mix, a very small senior Chihuahua, and my fourteen-pound black American Shorthair feline son. For about six years, I even ran a rescue ranch and hobby farm in Idaho. I love spending time in nature, and both animals and the natural world quietly find their way into much of my work, even when I’m not writing about them directly.
